O·R·P Telephony’s hosted PBX enables business customers to have access to next generation telephony features and the management control of a PBX without the upfront costs and support overhead of a traditional installed PBX system.
Unlike legacy PBXs, where features are limited to premises-based users, Hosted PBX features are supported across multiple sites. This capability allows users to forward voice mails or transfer calls anywhere in the organization using private dial plans.
Internet calls (VoIP user to VoIP user) are free. Enable your co-workers so that you can talk to them without charge, whether they are in the next room, building, city or on the other side of the world - they are just one extension away!
Calls can be made to normal, PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) phones and mobile phones, wherever they are, at highly discounted rates.
Each account is issued with an 0845 Direct Inward Dial (DID) number that can handle over 200 simultaneous calls. Typically the 0845 number is directed to your Virtual Switchboard (Auto Attendant), which manages the call and transfers the caller to their chosen department or extension number. We can also issue UK Geographic numbers as well as international DID numbers.
The CLI or number that is presented to "called" parties, can be set as an account default or varied on an extension by extension basis.
The Virtual Switchboard (or Auto Attendant) typically answers incoming calls to your main 0845
number and then routes them according to your requirements. The service can be time- and date-
dependent such that out-of-hours callers will hear a different message to callers who are calling
during working hours. The Virtual Switchboard is configured via a web interface, enabling changes to
be made to the system at any time and from any internet connection.
Call 0845 229 7000 to hear it now!
Dial any extension directly from the Virtual Switchboard.
Each and every extension has its own configurable and customisable voice mail service. Voice messages can be accessed online, replayed over the phone, or forwarded to your email inbox.
The Virtual Switchboard will answer fax calls and email an Acrobat .pdf file of the fax to a defined email address.
Each and every extension can be set to forward calls if that extension is busy or unanswered. A list of multiple forwards can be specified (up to five) which will be tried in turn (or selected at random). If all available forwards are also busy or unanswered the extension can then route the call to voicemail (see above). These forward settings can vary from extension to extension, and are fully configurable online.
The system can be set so that defined phones will ring on incoming or forwarded calls, with the call connecting to the extension that answers first.
You can place a call on hold by tapping the receiver hook button, or by pressing the "hold" button, depending on what VoIP phone (hardware of software) you are using.
You can transfer a call to a user within the company on another VoIP extension, or to an external user on a normal telephone number. Most VoIP phones can transfer in both a "blind" or an "attended" fashion (where you talk to the receiving party before transferring the call).
You can begin a three-way call with participants that are either using VoIP extensions and/or external, normal telephone numbers.
Music or Messages on hold can be uploaded for different extensions.
Users of each and every VoIP extension can have total control of their own call forwarding and voice mail settings through personal web-based control panel.
Administrators have a "super user" level of access which, in addition to providing access to your Virtual Switchboard, allows them to have an overview of all users and the settings of each and every extension.
